Finance and insurance
Financial services and insurance marketing
Nobody shops for a loan or a policy for pleasure. They do it because there is a deadline: the policy is expiring, a home is being bought, the business needs working capital. Our work is to be found at that moment, to make the terms clear on the first read, and to stop people abandoning the form halfway.
We work backwards: which enquiries reach a contract, and which are filtered out at the adviser's desk. Messages are reviewed against the rules for the sector and for the specific product before they run.
Where the customer is lost on the way to a contract
The first price they see becomes the measure for all the rest
Customers compare against the number they saw first, even when the cover is different. If your page does not explain what the price includes, you look expensive for no reason.
The form asks questions like a bank clerk
Every unnecessary field filters out people who would have become customers. A long form protects the adviser's time, but you pay for visitors who then give up.
Enquiries arrive that do not meet the conditions
The campaign brings people without the required income, employment record or age. Advisers process them and report activity rather than results.
The customer compares and comes back a week later
The decision matures over several visits, and the credit goes to the last channel. So the channel that started the conversation is the one that gets stopped.
The rules stop the campaign at the worst moment
Since September 2026 Google has required verification of financial services advertisers, and the required information is hard to fit into a short format. A version prepared in advance saves weeks of standing still.
What changes in the order of work for financial services
The enquiry is only the beginning: an assessment, a proposal and a contract follow, and much of the comparing happens before the customer writes to you. That is why the steps of how we work continue after the form.
Goal
The goal is set in signed contracts per product, not in forms filled in. That shows how many enquiries the advisers can take on without leaving people waiting for days.
Check
We check that the form asks only for what is needed, that every enquiry is recorded and that it can be linked to the outcome at the adviser. Every unnecessary field shows up in the numbers.
Channels
Search catches the people with a deadline and a reason. Content explains the terms the customer would otherwise go looking for elsewhere. Emails keep the thread alive while they compare.
Report
The report shows the cost per enquiry that reached a contract, by product and by channel, because an enquiry for motor cover and an enquiry for a mortgage are not worth the same.
The services that matter for financial services
Different products are bought in different ways
A financial service is not one product. Motor insurance, a loan and an investment are decided by different people, at a different moment and with a different fear. So we separate them in the structure of the site.
There are also rules that come before the marketing. Advertising for financial and insurance services must be clear, accurate and not misleading. When an advertisement for consumer credit states an interest rate or any other figure relating to cost, it must also carry the standard information, including the annual percentage rate of charge. That information comes with a representative example and is as prominent as the interest rate itself. For investment products, the risk is presented as prominently as the possible benefit. In insurance, it must be clear who is offering the product and where the intermediary's registration can be checked. So every piece of copy, every banner and every landing page is reviewed before it runs, and we do not write promises of approval, returns or payouts that do not follow from the terms.
- Compulsory motor insurance: Bought against a deadline rather than by choice. The law requires advance notice when the premium rises at renewal, and that is exactly when the customer compares. The shortest path to a policy wins.
- Optional motor cover: Here the value of the car and the fear of damage decide it. The customer reads what exactly is covered and which repairer is accepted.
- Property insurance: Often taken out alongside a loan, or after something has happened nearby. Explaining what is not covered does more work than a discount.
- Consumer credit: Decided quickly and compared by the monthly instalment. Here the required information is part of the sale, because the customer is hunting for the hidden terms.
- A mortgage: It runs for months and passes through two people in the household. It goes to whoever explains the steps, the documents and the timings before asking for data.
- Investment and saving: A decision that gets postponed for a long time, because a loss weighs more than a gain. Education and a calm tone work here, not promises of returns.
- A policy through a broker or a bank: A large share of policies is sold through brokers and banks. Then the site has to convince the partner as well as the customer who checks your name before signing.
